Guild and Needles & Pins Notices:
1. The Needles & Pins Group will meet on Monday 17 February at 2pm in the church hall.
2. The Guild's next meeting will be on Tuesday 25 February when the speaker will be from the Food Bank in Balivanich. This meeting will be open to members of the congregation, and if any congregational members would like to make a donation to the Food Bank, there will e a box in the porch for donations next Sunday, 23 February (dried and tinned goods only, please).
3. A reminder to all of the Guild Bring & Buy Sale on Saturday 29 February at 2pm in the church hall.
Monday 17 February: Elders’ Meeting at 7.30pm in the church hall.
Thursday 20 February: Prayer meeting and bible study at 7.30pm at Rev John and Margaret Smith's, Clachan.
Friday 21 February: Little Coffee Stop: Uist at 10am - 12noon in the church hall.
Saturday 22 February: Safeguarding Training 10am - 1pm in the church hall. This is primarily for those who could find themselves on a Safeguarding Panel, which is the Safeguarding Coordinators, but is open to anyone else who is interested in safeguarding issues.
Saturday 22 February: Soup and Pudding Lunch Fundraiser at 1pm in Benbecula CoS hall (Griminish) to help support ladies from Central Asia who will attend the Arise20 Conference in Turkey in March.
Lucky 2 B Here Basic Life Support & Defibrillator Training in the church hall. Saturday 29 February at 7pm (1 session) and Monday 2 March (3 sessions) at 11am, 3pm & 7pm. Maximum of 15 people per session. If there is demand for more sessions, then there is a possibility of running more on Tuesday 3 March. Sign-up sheets are at the Church entrance and in the hall after the service. It would be good to get an early idea of numbers, so please sign as soon as possible.
Thursday 5 March: Benbecula Communion Preparatory Service at 7pm in the Benbecula church (Griminish).
Friday 6 March: The World Day of Prayer at 7.30pm in the church hall. This year it has been written by the women of Zimbabwe. Sue Newby will be leading again this year, and she is looking for volunteers who would be willing to read in the service. Please think about volunteering.
Saturday 7 March: Men’s Breakfast at 8.30am in Benbecula CoS hall (Griminish). The speaker will be Seoras MacGillivray, recently returned with his family from Iran.
Sunday 8 March: Benbecula Communion. No service at Clachan on this Sunday.
Bible Readers: If you are willing to read the Bible passages on Sundays then contact Sue Newby who has a list of dates for you to choose from.
